Car paths, bike paths, and boardwalks were provided to allow access to Lake Hancock. This project has been widely recognized and has been considered for several awards from the State of Florida.
The 8,856 square foot Recreation Center for the City of Avon Park is a pre-engineered metal building with a split-face block exterior. The interior consists of a food prep area, a full basketball court, locker and restrooms. The building was designed and built to meet Dade County hurricane requirements. It was designated as a hurricane shelter and successfully withstood three major hurricanes.
